Among the various styles is the Double Wide style, common among Indian men that hail from Punjab. To wrap in this style you will need a long piece of cloth, divided into two identical parts and sew them together forming a wider cloth. It is from there that the wrapping is done on the head.

The Warrior Style is also commonly used. As you might have figured it out, it is a style tied by the warriors when going out for battle, mostly Sikhs. There is no consideration on the color, length and what not to tie with this style. Just take the cloth you have, tie a knot to hold the clothing and place it on the head then you are ready to go wherever you are going. However, let this not make you think that it is easy, it takes some time to get it right.

There is also the common and general way of wrapping. It is mostly clad by Sikhs. This one is not complicated at all. You need two items; a long piece of cloth on which starching has been done before hand and an item called the patka placed under the head-dress so as to hold it firmly and protect it from falling.

Also making it in the list of methods that can be used is the House style. Women wear it when they get up from bed and while going on with their daily chores. They also wear the 3 meter turban when exercising. Men on their part go for the shorter ones with 1.5-2 meter lengths. The lengths for men depend on their individual tastes; whether to put one or more wraps. Children, on their part, adorn them at home while playing outside or even just moving around the house.

In conclusion, the turban can be worn on the head in many different ways depending on personal preferences, gender, purpose and the environment. Turban wrapping can also be done in various ways as seen. You should however choose one that best suits your needs as well as the color that goes along with that.
