2013's Biggest TV Shows

So far, 2013 has produced some fantastic television shows, but there are some that seem to be shining somewhat more than others. We've taken a look at the most well-liked shows to bring to you the very best six. First up is Game of Thrones. Based on the bestselling fiction by George R. R. Martin, this HBO show regularly draws in viewers with its provocative mixture of drama, religion and civil war.

Up next is Breaking Bad. This show follows Walter White, a chemistry teacher, who falls prey to cancer, and needs to turn to drug dealing to afford his therapy. Together with his super pure meth and his underworld ex-student, Jesse Pinkman, they rise up the drug food chain in his quiet Texas town.

Dexter also continues to draw fantastic ratings every week. He is a cop in an LA precinct who has given himself a job description in addition to what's required in the division; he is a self-appointed vigilante and his target is serial killers. How long can he keep going before he's discovered for his murders? And what happens if they find him out? Since of course, he only kills serial killers.

Pretty Little Liars is also grabbing viewers' attention each week. Based on the fiction by Sara Shepard, the show follows the lives of teenagers who deal with the disappearance of one of their friends.

For a sublime and stylish show, it's hard to go wrong with Mad Men. Follow Peggy Olsen as she tries her best to shatter the glass ceiling in 1960s corporate America.

You cannot discuss 2013 TV shows without talking about Parks and Recreation. Meet Leslie Knope, the Assistant Director of the Pawnee Parks and Recreation Department. Her boss hates his job and hates federal government and her co-workers are just as apathetic. She needs to do whatever she can to keep the department active, and her overzealousness is often comical.
