List of Celebrities Who Are Mean, Smart and Nice

By Anthony Marks

Celebrities tend to garner a lot of attention, no matter where they go or what they do. This is not surprising when you consider the fact that being rich and famous means having the public become interested in a lot of things that are usually part of a person's private life. Thus, it's easy to lose sight of the fact that celebrities aren't very different from you and me in a lot of ways. They can exhibit the same types of behavior that we see from everyone else.

For example, some celebrities are extraordinarily mean people. They are rude not only to their fans, but also to the people who work closely with them every day. And when they unleash their wrath, it really is a thing to behold, because seldom is anyone spared, from colleagues to family members. Case in point: Christian Bale, who gained notoriety for assaulting his sister and mother (Yes, his mother! Who does that???!!!), not to mention ripping a new one in a set director during the filming of Terminator Salvation.

Running counter to this is the fact that many celebrities are known for having very kind dispositions and for being nice people. These are the stars who are never too busy to sign an autograph or shake a fan's outstretched hand. One celebrity with a well-deserved reputation for being an all-around nice guy is actor Will Smith. Despite being one of the biggest (and most bankable) stars in Hollywood, he has seemingly stayed grounded. In fact, both he and his wife Jada are noted for their many charitable contributions.

There are also celebrities who are shockingly smart. Quite a number of Tinseltown's elite are known for their brains as well as their beauty (or brawn). This camp contains a number of individuals who might come as a surprise to many people, such as Pulp Fiction director ( and high school dropout) Quentin Tarantino.

Basically, celebrities are, in a lot of ways, reflections of the general public. Many of them are nice, others are jerks, and so on. The difference is that people are more interested in seeing (and often get to observe) celebrity personalities on display.
